The last three months have been a big push of deadlines, from the CB Youth and Family Forum to the re-release of Faith Formation 2.0 to the launch of our new theme and ministry resource guide and the soon-to-be-released 2016/17 Rerooted curriculum. As these deadlines pass, more are coming, but with a change of pace.

For me (Alvin), the next few weeks will be filled with speaking engagements (including Week 1 at Kwasind, 6 church services and 4 training seminars) and travel to Montreal for the short-term mission experience between First Baptist Church-Welland and Montreal Chinese Baptist Church. While it will still be busy, it will be a change of pace.

Sometimes, that’s all it takes: a change of pace. That shift in rhythm and focus, even temporarily, allows for a breath of fresh air and rejuvenation. (It’s still important to take time for actual rest.) For some of you, the summer is shifts to a slower gear; for others, you’re ramping up. Whatever the case may be, hopefully you’ll take some time to be still with God, even if for only a few moments.

(BTW, I’ll be taking this week off, so hopefully you won’t get any emails from me.)
