LIVING LIFE AT THE HIGHEST LEVEL

Series Objective:

If you have been in Youth Ministry for any length of time then you have probably been asked several questions like these: “How far can I go physically with my girlfriend before it is a sin?” “Is it technically a sin to download MP3’s off the Internet?” “If your parents are jerks is it still a sin to disobey them?” These questions reflect the fact that as Christians we have a rather disturbing desire to live life at the lowest possible denominator – we want to know how close we can get to sin before God will get angry. People want to know exactly what they can get away with. Unfortunately when we answer these questions we sometimes miss the chance to speak into the lives of students the wonderful truth that God wants us to discover the secret of ABUNDANT LIFE! Life lived at the highest possible level. There is a life that is about more than the desires of our bellies; there is a life that is beautiful and inspiring. That’s the life Jesus promised us when He said in John 10:10 “the thief comes only to steal and to destroy but I have come that they might have life and have it to the full”. Do you want to live life above the lowest common denominator? Do you want to live life at the highest level? Than it is time to elevate our path and to follow Jesus down the narrow road to abundant life.
