PANORAMA

Series Objective:

Life is complicated. There are so many different voices and influences in our culture that it is hard to know where to turn when making major decisions. As Christians we have an incredible opportunity to seek advice and direction from the very one who created all life. He knows its purpose, He knows our beginnings and our end, and He wants us all to discover abundant life. This first series in the Elevate curriculum seeks to inspire students to ask, “what is God’s perspective on all of this?” By stepping back and away from some of the loud and misdirected voices in culture and into the quiet spaces where God’s voice can be discerned, our hope is to provide a panoramic view of life as God intended.

Series Intro:

The following introduction can be spoken or revised by the leader to “front-load” the experience for the students.

There’s a native saying that goes “you can’t judge a person until you walk a mile in their shoes.” We’re told through Scripture that God came down to walk in “our shoes”, and to share in our experiences. God, as the author of life, and as one who has entered fully into the human experience, through Jesus, God is uniquely positioned to be the one who can take us to the mountain top and lead us to a whole new perspective on life as it is meant to be lived.

Our challenge this year is to ELEVATE our perspective to see what God sees, whether it’s about our priorities, our purposes, or our values. That might sound daunting, but God is always ready to show us his perspective, and he asks us to take a look with him.

Are you ready to see the world through the eyes of God?
