We are excited to be launching thisĀ esportsĀ series next month.Ā WeĀ hopeĀ it will give a baseline of understanding for our youth leaders and parents as they navigateĀ theĀ relatively new frontierĀ of esports, whichĀ isĀ becoming a mainstream entertainment option. Itā€™s not just some people gamingĀ alone on theirĀ computers.Ā EsportsĀ isĀ both a competitive profession (professional athletes) and a spectatorĀ entertainment choice.Ā In 2019, it was a $4.5 billion industry in Canada.Ā Ā  While CBOQ Youth is not intending (at this time) to initiate any

Today’s Teens Conference 2017 review

Now's the Time So often, the Christian faith is portrayed as future-oriented. "One day we'll get there." "One day, Jesus will return." All of that is true. But Jesus reminds us not to forsake the present. Last Saturday,Ā over 1400 youth leaders, students and volunteers gathered at the Meeting House to be inspired and challenged. Time and time again, they were reminded to consider what God is doing right now, and

Today, the CBOQ staff settles into our new work home. Moving to 5 International Blvd brings an exciting sense of a fresh start. But, as with any change, there are a few things to keep in mind. Very rarely will it go according to the original plan. No matter how many times youā€™ve moved and no matter how meticulous you are in preparations, there are always unforeseen details that impact

Celebrate!

With less than one month left in the school year, it's a natural time to celebrate. Even if you have a lot of activities planned, having a time to bring closure to another mnistry cycle allows for reflection and thanksgiving for what God has empowered the last 10 months. At CBOQ Youth, we have much to celebrate: over 2000 students and leaders influenced through our events dozens of churhes and
