First Hungarian Baptist Church in Toronto does not have a huge youth group, but their commitment to following Christ is unwavering. Recently, they’ve experienced incredible blessings that remind us of God’s faithfulness.
Pastor Dániel Püsök shared “We are thankful to God, that one young man, who left the church and the faith several years ago, came back to Christ and got baptized. Not in our church, however we are still very happy for him and pray for him. He did contact us to tell us about his conversion and thanked us for ministering toward him in his younger years.”
Pastor Dániel story reminds us of Isaiah 55:10-11, ‘As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater, so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it. ‘ Even though the young man left the church, God’s words were not left void, but was used later on. The young man story can also relate to the parable of the prodigal son. Pastor Daniel requests for continue prayer for some of our prodigal sons will come to Christ and also back to our church.
Another exciting event for First Hungarian Baptist Church Toronto, they got to hold the North American Hungarian Baptist Youth Conference. This conference was organized by our youth and held in our church in October. You can see the photos from their weekend conference and see that they has a great turn out.
