Hey everyone! Here’s your quick, easy-to-read update on what’s happening for youth and young adult ministries this spring and early summer.

Ascent Retreats Are Almost Here!

We’ve got three regional Ascent retreats coming up:

  • Apr 24–26 @ Circle Square Ranch (Brantford) (currently waitlisted)
  • May 1–3 @ Silver Lake (Maberly)
  • May 29–31 @ Pearce Williams (near London)

Each retreat already has speakers, worship teams, and planners in full prep mode.

Want to volunteer?
If you’re 16+, you can join the Implementation Team. Details + volunteer applications: cboqyouth.ca/ascent

Reminder: You can attend any retreat—you’re not restricted by geography.

Save the Date: CBOQ Assembly (June 4–6)

Assembly is like a big family reunion for CBOQ churches. Every church can send:

  • At least two delegates
  • One young adult delegate (ages 18–25) — we really want next‑gen voices there!

Registration opens this month at baptist.ca/assembly.

Next Gen Gathering — June 12

Toronto Baptist Ministries (East End) is hosting a Next Gen night for youth groups.

You can:

  • Join virtually,
  • Or host your own local gathering and possibly link up live with others across Ontario and Quebec.

If you’re interested in joining or hosting: contact Alvin.

Student-Led Micro‑Grants (Next Deadline: April 15)

Got youth or young adults with creative ministry ideas?
They can apply for up to $1,000 to make their project happen.

Projects could be:

  • Connected to the church
  • Community‑focused
  • Inspired by events like the World Cup this summer

Apply at cboqyouth.ca/studentledgrants

Youth Ministry Handbook Resources (Coming Soon!)

We’re releasing:

  • A Bridge Document to help you start (or strengthen) your youth ministry handbook
  • Extra tools to help you explain why your youth ministry exists and how it works
  • Info about our Youth Ministry Certificate Program (18 months, starting this fall)

If you already have a handbook, we’re happy to help you review and improve it.

Walking Through Lent Together

As we head toward Easter:

  • We’re grateful for the work you do in shaping the next generation.
  • We’d love to pray for you—send us your requests anytime.

Here’s to warmer days, melting snow, and a season of renewal as we remember Jesus together.
