Our team safely returned to Toronto late morning (March 16). We are grateful for their participation and look forward to more stories to come.
Day 6 and 7: On day 6 we have 2 photos of the team enjoying time site seeing near the Lighthouse compound. On day 7 they continued working with the local kids in the VBS afternoon program.
Day 5: The team from Harmony Baptist spent the day serving children in the local community. Part of the day they got to teach a bible lesson and help make craft paper cross with the kids.

Day 3: A Haitian Church, community, walking and Cable Cars. The team used their first full day in DR day to take in the signs and sounds of the community that they will be working in the rest of the week.
The team left Toronto this morning with little issues and have touched down in Santo Domingo (as of 4:00 pm EST) with the Lighthouse Team ready to greet them. They are all settled in at the Lighthouse compound, ready for their first full day tomorrow.
This team of 9 from Harmony Baptist (Hamilton) are preparing for their flight to the Dominican Republic tomorrow morning. There, they'll serve alongside the Lighthouse Project in Los Alcarizzos.
Toronto Baptist Ministries (TBM) hosted its annual youth leader retreat on May 6 at Mississauga Chinese Baptist Church. Six churches were represented. The emphasis was a comprehensive discussion on what makes a thriving youth ministry, and what are issues that need to be addressed along the way. It consists of 2 panel discussions: one with 4 point youth leaders and the other with 2 volunteer youth leaders. There were conversations

Our 8 days in the Dominican Republic culminated in both a series of blessings and challenges. For me (Alvin), this was my second time serving with a team in the Lighthouse Project.
