Last week, along with our counterparts with Canadian Baptists of Atlantic Canada, Union d’Églises baptistes francophones du Canada, Canadian Baptists of Western Canada and Canadian Baptist Ministries, we hosted a forum with 47 youth leaders across Canada from a variety of backgrounds and experiences.
Some may remember a similar gathering hosted in 2016. At that time, Imaginative Hope resulted from that forum.
Similar questions were being asked last week as well. What are some of the key issues and insights from youth ministry the Canadian Baptist church should take note of?
A draft presentation was offered to our delegates. In the coming months, we aim to shape it into an impactful resource in which we believe God is challenging the Canadian Baptist church to consider and step forward in. (So keep your eyes out for it sometime in spring of 2023.)
We are grateful for those who chose to spend their time with us to share their insights. We are also grateful for Rev. Renee MacVicar, Rev. Dr. Anna Robbins, Rev. Dr. Carson Pue and Rev. Dr. Tim Tang for offering their perspectives for the delegates’ consideration.
In the meantime, continue to pray for the next generation in our CB churches, that we would pass on the truths of God to them, that we would share the praiseworthy deeds of the Lord, the marvelous and wonders he’s done both in the past, in our own lives and into the future.
