More Than a Name

Help students become clear in their identity as a child of God, by helping them to see that they are much More Than a Name One of the main questions youth explore is, “Who am I?”  Many times, it is who they define themselves as that all their decision-making and life trajectories come from.  This is a reason why God has been key on people knowing what their identity is

Mentoring Grads at Pickering Community Baptist Church

Mentoring is a vital part of a young Christian’s faith formation. In the past few years, CBOQ Youth has encouraged churches to support mentors, who walk alongside those about to graduate high school. Pickering Community Baptist Church has been guiding and supporting high school graduates in this way for a few years now.  We asked some of their mentors and recent mentees (Grace Wong, Kiya Fu and Jimmy Chao) to share about their experiences. Youth and Digital Communication

Your typical student is likely digitally connected, whether it’s through texting, social media, gaming or other channels. Some youth ministries embrace all these channels. Others would rather restrict them and get back to “real relationships” So how do you engage these digitally connected youth? Long-Term Consideration 1: There are foundational changes in the ways the youth ministry operates that include different channels of discipleship.

Day of Prayer for Youth and FBC-Dryden
