This past weekend, over 550 students and leaders descended on Muskoka Woods for a weekend to explore our identity in Christ.

Mike Gordon walked through John 4 (Jesus and the Samaritan woman) in seeing how the woman wanted to project her identity, how Jesus saw behind it and who Jesus really said she was. Mix in some personal stories (including surgery) and students were drawn into considering who Jesus says they are: loved, valued, accepted.

Life Support returned to lead us into worship. For me (Alvin), my favourite set was the acoustic worship on Sunday morning.

While the weather was cold, it was a beautiful blue sky and the sun/Son shone brightly. Several youth leaders shared how their groups delved into deeper life conversations than ever before. Many took a step closer to Jesus.

On a personal note, this was my 20th year of being part of these winter retreats. A group of youth workers sent in video greetings/congratulations. Matt announced an award he is establishing in my name (details to come). I was prayed over and several people send me their heartfelt congratulations. My son even got a hard card with several signatures from our staff together.
