Submitted by Paige Byrne-Mamahit, former Director of Family and Children's Ministry Do a Little Jig! Even though the arrow fell only a few feet in front of him and many feet short of the target, our jr archer (about six years old) did a little jig and cheered for himself with his friend also cheering for him, with some back pats and fist bumps to follow. Submitted by Julian Ciach (Director of Digital Ministry at Bromley Road Baptist Church) The esports micro-grant we received from CBOQ has been a great blessing! With the grant we were able to build relationships within the youth in new ways at our church. We purchased a Nintendo switch, controllers, and games that have allowed us to connect with the youth differently than before. The competition that we
In September, we hosted a kickoff event for our youth ministry with 30 teens in attendance. We had bubble tea, worship, games and an intro to our topic next year. God is truly so good and continues to work in the lives of our teens at Glencairn. On September 29, the youth group at Living Water Community Church in Thorold hosted their first kickoff event. Here's what Rylan Kamerman (youth pastor) shared: Our Kickoff was a huge success! Our church celebrated Thanksgiving with a turkey and all the
Our VBS camp this August brought in a lot of new faces to our youth group, as new volunteer leaders from the local high-school and current youth group members were brought much closer as a tight-nit group. The new members transitioned into our weekly youth group seamlessly. Now we have a larger group with a strong drive and motivation to be at church as much as possible. Every member attends our
I (Jon Matthews, youth pastor at Kingsway) had a really encouraging phone call with one of our students who is in University now (3rd year). As we were talking and she was sharing how she now has a church in town she goes to weekly, arranging her work schedule so every week she can have Sunday mornings free. And that she is part of discipleship group with another Para-church organization.
